Hashtags - Trending Topics
Don't be afraid to add a few Hashtags to the custom tweets you're posting on Twitter. Research has shown that tweets with at least one hashtag get up to 2x more engagement from viewers.
Adding hashtags helps other users in the Twitter community find your post, since they can search for topics and any posts with hashtags regarding trending topics will come up in the search. For example, if you were tweeting about a new listing that you have don't be afraid to add a #JustListed hashtag to the end of your post.
Adding Images To Posts
We recommend adding images to any of the tweets you're posting to Twitter. Research has shown that tweets with images see a 5x higher engagement rate from viewers of your feed.
Follow And Favorite/Retweet Other Twitter Users
Generally speaking the more you give to other users the more you get. Try following other real estate agents so you can see what sorts of followers they have, and don't be reluctant to favorite/retweet the content that they produce on their page. This can lead to them liking or re-distributing the content that you're publishing -- and can inherently gain you some more followers and attention to your page.
Update Your Profile Information
Click on 'Edit Profile' to begin editing your profile information.
Some of the fields you will see are Bio, Location, Website and Theme Color. Update the bio to be a bit more interesting than our default bios provided when we created/branded your Twitter account. Also update your Location address so when people are searching through Twitter for nearby events your tweet could show up.
For branding purposes, try changing the Theme Color for your page as well so aesthetically everything looks uniform. You could even update your Theme Color for each season so visitors on your page will consistently be entertained.
Monitor Your Tweets
Imagine taking all of this time to set up your social media platforms and push your content out there, but not checking in on who is favoring/retweeting the tweets you're posting. Click on the 'notifications' tab to see any recent updates for people who interact with your content.
You can attract more followers that inherently turn into prospects/leads if you pay attention to who is on your page looking at your content.
